Ben is a bi-lingual tour guide from Berlin, Germany. Having visited Scotland on walking tours and also touring on his motorbike, he fell in love with the country, its mountains and its people!
After finishing his university degrees in Berlin in Project Management and Business Studies, he made the decision to further his career as an Outdoor Instructor, moving over to Edinburgh in 2011. He now works freelance with walking tours and is regularly guiding groups of all ages and experience in the hills.
He has good experience of hill walking in summer and winter conditions and also good general knowledge of Scottish History. Ben likes to express his passion for walking in Scotland and all it has to offer to his clients with his friendly and easy-going manner and fresh approach.
Ben is a qualified mountain guide and holds the Mountain Leader Summer Award and as well the International Mountain Leader since March 2018, which qualifies him to lead all over the world.
Mostly you will find him in the Canaries or the Alps if he is not busy in Scotland. Any spare time he is walking Long-Distance Treks with Rosie somewhere in the world.
